
Babar Azam equals three PSL records with Qualifier century
Babar Azam delivered another landmark performance in PSL 11, equalling three major records with his century against Islamabad United in the Qualifier at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
The Peshawar Zalmi captain struck a commanding 103 off 59 balls, hitting 12 fours and four sixes to lead his side to a formidable 221 for 7 in their 20 overs in the high-stakes encounter.
Century puts Babar alongside PSL’s elite
This innings marked Babar Azam’s second century of the ongoing PSL 11 season. In doing so, he became only the second batter in league history to score two hundreds in a single edition, matching Usman Khan’s feat from PSL 9 with Multan Sultans.
It was also Babar’s fourth PSL century overall, bringing him level with Usman Khan at the top of the all-time list.

Record-equalling season highlights dominance
Babar’s 103-run knock also took him to 588 runs in the ongoing edition, equalling Fakhar Zaman’s long-standing record for most runs in a single PSL season.
Fakhar had set the benchmark with 588 runs in 13 innings during PSL 7, including one century and seven half-centuries. Babar reached the same tally in just 10 innings in PSL 11.
He has accumulated those runs at an average of 98.00 and a strike rate of 146.63, including two centuries and three fifties in the current campaign.
