Justin Kemp Named Pindiz Head Coach for PSL 11

Justin Kemp has been appointed as the head coach of Pindiz for Pakistan Super League 11, the franchise announced on Friday ahead of the tournament scheduled from March 26 to May 3.

The debutant PSL franchise confirmed the appointment through its official social media channels, sharing an animated poster welcoming the former South Africa all-rounder to the team.

Kemp enjoyed a successful international career with South Africa, representing the Proteas in four Tests, 85 ODIs and eight T20Is over a span of around six years.

The franchise welcomed him with a message highlighting his role in shaping the team’s identity.

“A Proteas great joins The Pindiz as our Head Coach! Justin Kemp is here to set standards, shape the culture, and build something that lasts for generations. Welcome to Pindi, Justin,” the franchise wrote in its announcement.

Walsh joins coaching staff

Pindiz also strengthened their coaching setup by appointing West Indies legend Courtney Walsh as bowling coach.

Walsh, widely regarded as one of cricket’s greatest fast bowlers, represented West Indies in 132 Tests and 205 ODIs during his distinguished career.

The franchise welcomed him by writing: “A giant of the game is coming to Pindi. Courtney Walsh, the Caribbean great and one of cricket’s all-time fast bowling legends, joins The Pindiz as our Bowling Coach.”

Walsh previously served as bowling coach of the Bangladesh men’s team and also worked as head coach of the West Indies women’s side.

Former Pakistan spinner Abdur Rehman has been appointed as Head of Competitive Strategy and Assistant Coach.

Experienced coach Shahid Aslam will serve as Performance Coach, while former Pakistan international Rafatullah Mohmand has been named Fielding Coach.

Pakistan batting great Inzamam-ul-Haq has also been appointed as President and Mentor of the franchise.

PSL 11 campaign opener

Pindiz will begin their Pakistan Super League 11 campaign on March 28 against Peshawar Zalmi.

The match will be played at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium as a day fixture.

Pindiz squad for PSL 11: Mohammad Rizwan, Sam Billings, Zaman Khan, Yasir Khan, Naseem Shah, Rishad Hossain, Daryl Mitchell, Mohammad Amir, Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Dian Forrestor, Laurie Evans, Asif Afridi, Kamran Ghulam, Fawad Ali, Mohammad Amir Khan and Shahzaib Khan.
