
PSL 11 Schedule Announced with Two New Teams
The PSL 11 schedule has officially been announced, with the Pakistan Cricket Board confirming that the 44-match HBL Pakistan Super League will run from 26 March to 3 May 2026 across six venues.
The tournament will take place in Faisalabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar and Rawalpindi, with Faisalabad and Peshawar hosting HBL PSL matches for the first time.
Eight teams set to compete
For the first time in the competition’s history, eight teams will take part in the HBL PSL. The league has completed 10 years and enters a new era with its 11th edition.
The participating teams are:
Hyderabad Kingsmen, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Rawalpindi Pindiz.
The two new franchises, Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pindiz, joined the tournament following the HBL PSL Auction.
Hyderabad Kingsmen were acquired for PKR 175 crore, while Rawalpindi Pindiz were purchased for PKR 245 crore.
Tournament format
Each team will play 10 matches in the group stage.
The top four teams will qualify for the knockout stage, which will consist of:
Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the Final.
The playoff stage will run from 28 April to 3 May.
The final will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday, 3 May, with a reserve day scheduled for Monday, 4 May.
The tournament will span 39 days and include 12 double-headers, with Gaddafi Stadium hosting three of them.
Gaddafi Stadium to host opening match
Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host 15 matches in the tournament.
The opening match on 26 March will feature Lahore Qalandars against Hyderabad Kingsmen.
The venue previously hosted the first PSL match played on Pakistan soil in 2017, which was the final. It also staged the finals of the 2022, 2023 and 2025 editions.
Lahore Qalandars, champions in 2022, 2023 and 2025, will play at least five matches at their home venue.
One of the marquee fixtures at the ground will be the Lahore Qalandars vs Karachi Kings clash on 29 March.
Gaddafi Stadium will also host three double-headers on 29 March, 19 April and 25 April.
PSL arrives in Peshawar
The Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar, previously known as Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium, will host PSL matches for the first time.
The venue last staged an international match 20 years ago, when Pakistan faced India in an ODI on 6 February 2006.
Its first PSL fixture will be played on 28 March between Peshawar Zalmi and Rawalpindi Pindiz, scheduled as an afternoon match.
The stadium is currently hosting matches in the National T20 Cup.
Faisalabad to stage seven matches
Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad will host seven matches during the upcoming PSL season, marking the city’s first involvement as a host venue.
Defending champions Lahore Qalandars will play four matches at the venue, while Peshawar Zalmi, winners of the 2017 edition, will feature in PSL 11 Schedule Announced with Two New Teams matches.
The first match in Faisalabad will take place on 9 April, when Lahore Qalandars face Islamabad United in an afternoon game.
Multan to host home fixtures
Multan Cricket Stadium will host four evening matches, all involving Multan Sultans, the 2021 PSL champions.
The first match at the venue will be played on 1 April between Multan Sultans and Hyderabad Kingsmen.
Matches scheduled in Karachi
National Bank Stadium in Karachi, formerly known as National Stadium, will host six matches during PSL 11.
The venue previously hosted the PSL finals in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2024.
Karachi Kings and Hyderabad Kingsmen will each play three matches at the stadium.
Meanwhile, Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United will feature in two matches each.
The first fixture at the venue will take place on 8 April, when Hyderabad Kingsmen face Peshawar Zalmi.
Another notable match will be the Hyderabad Kingsmen vs Karachi Kings encounter on 11 April, which will introduce a new rivalry in the league.
Rawalpindi to host 11 matches
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will stage 11 matches, including one Qualifier.
The venue hosted ICC Champions Trophy fixtures last year.
It will also host two double-headers on 2 April and 26 April.
With the addition of the new franchise, Islamabad United and Rawalpindi Pindiz will serve as home teams at the stadium.
Islamabad United will play six matches at the venue, while Rawalpindi Pindiz will feature in five matches.
Both teams will meet at least twice in the group stage, with matches scheduled on 4 April and 23 April.
Qualifier, Eliminator and final
Qualifier is set to take place in Rawalpindi on April 28 with Eliminator 1 & 2 to be hosted at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore as well as the big final!
