Multan Region Beat Karachi Blues in National T20 Cup Match 12

The Multan Region vs Karachi Blues clash in the National T20 Cup 2026 ended in a dominant win for Multan Region, who secured a 74-run victory in match 12 at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar on Thursday.

Led by a commanding half-century from captain Imam-ul-Haq and a strong bowling display from Mohammad Ismaeel, Multan Region registered their second consecutive victory in the tournament.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Multan Region posted an imposing total of 201-6 in their 20 overs.

The innings began with a powerful 70-run opening partnership between Imam-ul-Haq and Muhammad Naeem. Naeem set the early tempo with an aggressive 39 from 25 balls, hitting seven fours and a six before he was dismissed by Asad Akhtar.

Imam-ul-Haq then continued the momentum alongside Bismillah Khan, with the pair adding another 70 runs for the third wicket.

The Multan captain played a fluent knock of 71 from 40 deliveries, striking nine fours and two sixes to anchor the innings. Bismillah Khan contributed with a quick 34 from 23 balls, which included two fours and a six.

Late in the innings, Waseem Akram added valuable runs, remaining unbeaten on 22 from just eight balls with three fours and a six.

For Karachi Blues, Shahnawaz Dahani was the most successful bowler, picking up two wickets.

Mohammad Ismaeel leads bowling effort

Chasing a challenging target of 202, Karachi Blues failed to build momentum and were bowled out for 127 in 15.4 overs.

Usman Khan was the top scorer for Karachi Blues with 43 off 23 deliveries, but the rest of the batting lineup struggled to provide support as wickets fell regularly.

The standout performer with the ball was left-arm spinner Mohammad Ismaeel, who returned impressive figures of 3/25 in his three overs.

He was well supported by Arafat Minhas, who took two wickets. Five other Multan bowlers also contributed with a wicket each, including Waseem Akram, Sirajuddin, Amir Yamin, Moheer Saeed and Muhammad Naeem.

The comprehensive victory secured Multan Region’s second successive win in the National T20 Cup 2026.
