David Warner to Lead Karachi Kings in PSL 11
Former Australia opener David Warner will captain the Karachi Kings once again in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, which is scheduled to take place from 26 March to 3 May.
The franchise confirmed the decision on Tuesday through its official social media channels, sharing a poster featuring the left-handed batter while announcing his return as captain for the new season.
In the announcement, the franchise described Warner as their leader and highlighted his return to guide the Kings squad into the upcoming edition of the HBL PSL.
Warner reacquired after PSL auction
Despite delivering a strong performance during PSL 10, Warner was initially released by Karachi Kings.
Ahead of the inaugural players’ auction, the six existing franchises were permitted to retain only four players because of the league’s expansion to eight teams.
However, Karachi Kings brought Warner back at the auction after outbidding Peshawar Zalmi with an offer of Rs79 million.
