Bangladesh ODI Squad Announced for Pakistan Series 2026

The Bangladesh ODI squad for the upcoming home series against Pakistan has been officially announced by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), with a 15-member group selected for the three-match ODI series scheduled from March 11 to 15.

The series will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, with all three matches set to be played on March 11, March 13 and March 15.

Litton Das and Afif Hossain Return

The Bangladesh ODI squad sees the return of experienced wicketkeeper-batter Litton Kumer Das and all-rounder Afif Hossain.

Fast bowlers Nahid Rana and Shoriful Islam have also been recalled for the series.

Meanwhile, Nurul Hasan, Jaker Ali, Shamim Hossain, Hasan Mahmud, Tanzim Hasan and Nasum Ahmed have been left out of the squad.

Afif last featured in an ODI for Bangladesh in December 2024, while Litton Das last played in the format in July 2025. Das also missed Bangladesh’s three-match home ODI series against West Indies in October last year due to struggles in the format.

Despite his recent difficulties, Bangladesh Chief Selector Gazi Ashraf Hossain expressed confidence in the experienced batter.

«”Litton Das may not have produced his best in recent ODIs, but you can’t overlook the experience of nearly a hundred international matches in this format,” Ashraf said.»

«”He has been working closely with the coaches on his game. We believe he will soon perform in the manner he is capable of. We are considering him as an option to strengthen the middle order. Soumya Sarkar, meanwhile, has been in excellent form at the international level,” he added.»

Pakistan Arrive on March 9

Pakistan’s men’s team are scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on March 9, ahead of the ODI series.

All three matches will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, one of Bangladesh’s primary international venues.
