Abbottabad Advance to Final After Rain Ends Semi-final

Abbottabad vs Lahore Whites in the National T20 Cup 2026 semi-final saw Abbottabad secure a place in the final after a rain-affected match at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Abbottabad progressed to the final due to their superior points tally from the group stage after the match was abandoned without a result.

They will now face Karachi Whites in the grand final of the National T20 Cup 2026 at the same venue on Wednesday.

Lahore Whites post competitive total

After being put in to bat, Lahore Whites made a steady start through openers Mohammad Ikhlaq and Mohammad Faiq, who added 38 runs for the first wicket.

Faiq scored 18 off 11 deliveries, including two fours and a six, before being dismissed by Shahab.

Ikhlaq then combined with Mohammad Imran to build momentum, taking the team past the 50-run mark.

The pair added 64 runs before Ikhlaq was run out by Afaq Khan after scoring 42 off 35 balls, hitting six fours, leaving Lahore Whites at 102 for 2 in 11.2 overs.

Imran played a key innings, scoring 62 off 31 deliveries with three fours and five sixes before falling to Shahab, who struck again in the same over to remove Tayyab Tahir for two.

Lahore Whites slipped to 127 for 4 in 13.3 overs.

Farhan Yousaf and Muhammad Mohsin added late runs to boost the total, with Mohsin scoring 24 off 16 balls, including one four and two sixes, before being dismissed by Fayaz Khan at 163 for 5 in 17 overs.

Shahab continued his strong spell by dismissing captain Aamer Jamal for one, claiming his fourth wicket.

Lahore Whites finished with a competitive total, with Farhan Yousaf unbeaten on 33 off 19 balls, striking six fours, while Ahmed Daniyal added five off three deliveries.

Rain halts Abbottabad chase

Abbottabad were set to chase 195, but persistent rain prevented the second innings from starting.

As a result, the match was abandoned, and Abbottabad progressed to the final based on their superior position on the points table at the end of the group stage.

The National T20 Cup 2026 final will now see Abbottabad take on Karachi Whites on Wednesday at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.
