PSL 11 Match Officials Announced for New Season
The PSL 11 match officials list has been confirmed, with the Pakistan Cricket Board unveiling the full officiating panel for the upcoming Pakistan Super League season.
The tournament will run from March 26 to May 3 across Lahore and Karachi, featuring 44 matches in total.
Richardson set for PSL debut
Sir Richie Richardson, a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, is set to make his debut in the PSL as a match referee.
The former West Indies captain has previously officiated in Pakistan, standing in four Tests and three T20 Internationals between 2017 and 2024. This includes the three-match T20I series between Pakistan and the World XI at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Strong international umpiring panel
A strong overseas presence will feature in the PSL 11 match officials lineup. The panel includes four ICC Elite Panel umpires: Ahsan Raza (Pakistan), Christopher Gaffaney (New Zealand), Allahudien Palekar (South Africa) and Alexander Wharf (England).
They will be joined by Sharfuddoula Saikat and Chris Brown, both part of the international officiating group.
Palekar and Saikat are set to make their PSL debuts this season.
Domestic officials also included
The domestic umpiring panel includes Asif Yaqoob, Rashid Riaz, Faisal Khan Aafreedi, Nasir Hussain, Zulfiqar Jan, Abdul Muqeet, Alay Haider, Imran Jawed and Tariq Rasheed.
Match referees panel confirmed
Roshan Mahanama, a regular in the PSL since 2017, returns and will extend his record of 71 matches in the tournament. He will lead the playing control team, beginning with the opening match between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kings.
Other match referees include Sir Richie Richardson, Ali Naqvi, Kamran Chaudhary, Bilal Khilji, Iftikhar Ahmed, Aleem Moosa and Sohail Idrees.
Opening match officials
For the opening fixture, Alex Wharf and Ahsan Raza will serve as the on-field umpires.
Asif Yaqoob will take on the role of television umpire, while Tariq Rasheed will act as the fourth umpire.
