Karachi Whites Reach Final After Beating Sialkot
Karachi Whites vs Sialkot in the National T20 Cup 2026 saw Karachi Whites seal a dominant five-wicket win to book their place in the final on Tuesday at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.
Muhammad Umar’s disciplined bowling effort, followed by Abdullah Fazal’s explosive half-century, powered Karachi Whites to victory in the first semi-final of the 10-team tournament.
With this win, Karachi Whites have qualified for the final, where they will face either Abbottabad or Lahore Whites at the same venue on Wednesday.
Sialkot post 165 despite Hassan Nawaz effort
After opting to bat first, Sialkot captain Usama Mir saw his decision backfire as his side managed 165 for 9 in their 20 overs.
Hasan Nawaz once again led the scoring for Sialkot with 43 off 33 balls, hitting two sixes and two fours.
Khawaja Arham provided solid support at the top with 40 off 33 deliveries, including three sixes and two fours.
Other contributions came from Ali Afzal (26), Usama Mir (19) and Mohsin Riaz (15), but Sialkot could not build enough momentum against a disciplined Karachi Whites bowling attack.
Muhammad Umar was the standout performer with the ball, claiming three wickets for just 29 runs in his four overs.
He was well supported by Mohammad Asghar, who picked up two wickets, while Danish Aziz, Saqib Khan and Mir Hamza chipped in with one each.
Abdullah Fazal leads comfortable chase
Chasing a target of 166, Karachi Whites reached the total comfortably with five wickets down and 29 balls remaining.
They got off to a strong start as Abdullah Fazal and captain Saud Shakeel added 92 runs for the opening partnership.
Shakeel played an aggressive knock of 45 off 21 balls, striking five fours and three sixes before being dismissed by Usama Mir.
His departure triggered a brief collapse, with Karachi Whites losing three quick wickets.
However, Abdullah Fazal continued to anchor the chase and top-scored with 88 off 41 deliveries, smashing seven sixes and six fours.
He was eventually dismissed in the 14th over by Hamza Nazar with the score at 146 for 5.
Danish Aziz (15 not out) and Haroon Arshad (7 not out) then guided Karachi Whites home with an unbeaten 21-run partnership, sealing the win in the 16th over.
For Sialkot, Usama Mir was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets for 46 runs, while Hamza Nazar and Sufiyan Muqeem took one each.
Karachi Whites now advance to the National T20 Cup 2026 final as they await their opponent for Wednesday’s showdown.
